Neil E. Giles
Senior Counsel
Neil Giles is Senior Counsel with the Firm who concentrates his practice in complex commercial and insurance litigation with a primary focus on the energy and oil & gas sectors. Neil specializes in complex cases involving upstream and midstream oil & gas commercial and technical issues. Prior to joining the firm in January 2009, Neil was a partner in the Trial Section of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP. He has over 15 years of civil trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts and arbitration. Neil has represented large, integrated energy companies, independent E&P companies, gas transmission and processing companies, wholesale electricity trading companies, insurance companies, a variety of other publicly traded and privately owned businesses and individuals. He has a broad depth of experience representing clients in both tort and contract matters in the areas of general commercial litigation, energy/oil & gas, insurance coverage and subrogation, securities litigation/arbitration, admiralty and maritime, personal injury/products liability, toxic torts, environmental litigation, and real estate.
