William P. Maines
Shareholder
Bill Maines has practiced trial law for over 25 years. He began his career by serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Reynaldo G. Garza on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Prior to joining the firm as a named shareholder in May 2009, Bill was a partner in the Litigation Section of Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP. Bill has extensive trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial and personal injury litigation in state and federal courts and in arbitration. He has a broad depth of experience representing investment banks, hedge funds, hospital systems, and offshore drilling and subsea construction companies. His most recent work focuses on class actions, securities fraud, antitrust, oil and gas, partnerships, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty by corporate directors and officers, professional negligence, construction matters, insurance coverage issues, trade secrets and patent infringement. Bill is board certified in civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
