Michael Golding
Senior Counsel
Michael L. Golding is senior counsel with the firm. His practice has focused on litigating complex commercial, product liability, professional liability and insurance coverage matters. He has significant experience in representing insurance carriers in coverage disputes arising under commercial general liability, commercial property, directors and officers, errors and omissions and professional liability policies.

- Defend municipal liability insurer in multi-million dollar property damage action arising from roof collapse on government building.
- Prepared coverage opinions regarding commercial property, commercial general liability, environmental, employment practices, errors & omissions and professional liability policies
- Handled coverage cases involving fraud, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty claims against public companies, national banks and investment firms based on investment losses.
- Resolved lawsuit against insurer involving cancellation of multi-million dollar surety bond portfolio issued to bank to support low-income housing projects throughout United States.
- Pursued subrogation claims in several states for commercial insurer and manufacturer arising from damage due to negligent installation of pre-engineered roofing systems.
- Successfully defended contract and patent infringement claims brought against commercial vehicle manufacturer in Northern District of Ohio and Eastern District of Virginia.
- Defended mutual fund company in litigation involving taxable nature of investments made by publicly-traded bank and in probate litigation brought by individual investors.
