JACOB C. ESPARZA is an associate with the firm whose practice focuses on litigation of insurance disputes in the oilfield, energy and marine industries. Mr. Esparza represents domestic and foreign insurers in coverage and bad faith litigation involving a variety of insurance policies that include energy package, operator's extra expense, offshore property damage, well control, general liability and business interruption. Mr. Esparza also has experience handling commercial litigation in state and federal courts involving general casualty, construction liability, contractual indemnity and premises liability claims.

- Representing insurers in Louisiana coverage litigation arising from multiple losses of well control at offshore well in state waters
- Defense of multiple underwriters in coverage litigation in state court regarding interpretation of FEMA flood zone designation
